CITAZIONE
I was watching E...an after thing for the Golden Globes. One woman interviewd Hugh brefly...he was funny & charming & sexy...like usual

The woman asked him what wasgoing on in his head....and he was saying how he knew Greg Grunberg, of Heroes, who was one of teh presenters for his category....

And Hugh said how he'd been talking to Greg & how Greg had jokingly said no matter what it said on the envelope, he was going to say Hugh's name.

And so when Hugh heard his name, he said he briefly thought that Greg had actually gone through with it!!!

But then Hugh realized he actually won...

CITAZIONE
My goodness, this is stunning, absolutely stunning. I am speechless. I am literally without a speech. It seems odd to me that in the weeks leading up to this event, people are falling all over themselves to send you free shoe, free cufflinks, and free colonic irrigations. But nobody offers you a free acceptance speech. It just seems to me to be a gap in the market. I’d love to be able to pull out a speech by Dolce & Gabbana.

…I must thank my wonderful fellow actors on House and thank my wonderful writers & producers and the truly wonderful crew. I know everyone says they have a wonderful crew but that can’t be the case. They can’t all be wonderful. Somebody somewhere is working with a crew of drunken thieves. But it’s not me. They are really wonderful collection of people and I am privileged to spend my days in their company and the smell of newly mown grass.

I would like to thank Robert Sean Leonard. I can’t remember why. He did give me a reason. The two people I would most like to thank are the people to whom I owe absolutely everything, the whole “caboodle”, if that is a word you yanks still use. The two cleverest and funniest and kindest and, frankly best bosses that a man could hope to have, David Shore & Katie Jacobs. I owe them everything, I owe them this (the awards). I’m certainly not going to give it to them, but I will owe it to them. …My wife, Jo, the head of my family… and of course, you! I left you until last. Thank you so much, ladies & gentlemen. Thank you.
